ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY

When The Shakin’ Arrows signed to Phonogram’s “Philips-label” in early 1977 the band had gone almost 19 years without a record.

Beginning in the late fifties The Shakin’ Arrows had not been idle when absent from the charts and had continued to build on their popularity in the Dutch Rock ’n Roll-Scene with regular live work.

By the end of the eighties The Shakin’ Arrows had became one of the most popular successful Dutch Rock ’n Roll-group ever, including their supporting of Fats Domino, Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Carl Mann and Jerry L. Lewis during their world-tour.

The band have carved a very special niche for themselves in the history of Dutch Rock ’n Roll, winning new fans all the time with their infectious brand of Rock ’n Roll-music, vocal as well as instrumental.

The Shakin’ Arrows are very much part of Dutch Rock ’n Roll-history and are adding to their achievements all the time.

Untill this moment they have made several singles, epees, 9 LP’s, 24 CD’s and 6 DVD’s.

The basic unit from The Shakin’ Arrows is four men who have known each other for many, many years and can react almost telepathically to each other’s  music.

There is probably a formula for selecting songs to cover, the results are usually so spectacularly good that it surely can’t be a matter of luck.

The Shakin’ Arrows carry on tradition of the legendary stars of the guitar sound like a.o. The Shadows, The Ventures, The Spotnicks, Dutch Indo-Rock, but also worldstars like Elvis Presley, Cliff Richard, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, The Everly Brothers, Carl Mann, Eddy Cochran and so on………….
